New Works SA production of SIX: The Musical, Summer 2024 at Say Sí in San Antonio

We provide low cost theatre education programs within San Antonio that teach all aspects of theatre to students of all backgrounds, providing resources and care that young people in underprivileged areas often go without.

Our Story

New Works SA is founded on Trinity University campus after having won the Stumberg Venture Competition and a $5,000 grant of seed money.

Launching of our first pilot education program (1-week camp) that offered us a glimpse into what New Works could become: a place where, kids could engage in a creative space that empowers them to foster their growth, and join a community rooted in empathy and encouragement.

We expand from just offering a single Building with Basics class to a full summer of camps for students ages 5-18.

Student numbers and engagement bloom as our youth educational programs enrollment for the year rises to 52 students and a more active community with 27 performances across the year!

Our community grows: with 105 students reached, 29 zip codes served, and over 40 volunteers and staff, New Works is on the rise and making a difference in the San Antonio community!

New Works Strives to Be Accessible.

We create opportunities for new artistic projects in the San Antonio area - made for young people by young people.
