Wren Ramos
Executive Director
she/her/hers
Wren Ramos founded New Works SA through the Stumberg Entrepreneurship Competition with the idea of creating a space where young San Antonio artists could freely express themselves. With a background in theatre and communication—specializing in marketing and media—Wren is passionate about storytelling in all its forms. As a playwright, poet, and director, she explored her craft extensively during her time at Trinity University, shaping the way she approaches theater education today. Wren leads New Works by listening—both to her incredible team and to the students she serves—ensuring that New Works always stays true to its mission: empowering young artists and fostering a love for storytelling. Wren is always helping with fundraising, partnerships and supervising Trinity University Interns for all productions from her new home base in North Carolina.

When not teaching voice lessons or planning New Works’ next move, they can be found reading, listening to music, and cuddling their two cats- Twinkle-Toes and Moony. Jo will be Directing Hadestown: Teen Edition in Spring 2026 and Jasper in Deadland and She Kills Monster in Summer 2026.
